STUDIOTREJO X DESIGNERS & ARCHITECTS

When you’re ready to photograph a finished project, we work together to create images for portfolios, editorial opportunities, and client presentations. Our approach focuses on composition, light, and the material details that communicate the well-orchestrated vision behind your work.

Portfolio Days

Portfolio days are some of our favorite days. We genuinely enjoy the collaborative process of working with our clients to present their work the way they want it to be seen.

Sometimes that means getting a little creative. For this image, the composition needed artwork on the wall to balance the frame, but rather than put a nail into the finished space, our client Shawna Dillon of Snaidero DC Metro climbed into the tub and held the framed piece in place while Alex refined the framing. Wireless tethering allowed her to see exactly what the camera was capturing as we worked through the shot.

We work together to create images that communicate the vision, intention, and expertise behind your work.

booking basics

Most projects are booked as either a half-day or full-day shoot depending on the number of spaces and the amount of styling or direction involved.

Half-day booking is up to 4 hours and is typically appropriate for one location with 2–3 spaces photographed, or two nearby locations with 1–2 spaces each. This works well for smaller projects, or photographing a few finished spaces.

A full-day allows for capturing a wider range of compositions within a single location or within two different locations. Full-day bookings should allow for travel, set up and reasonable human needs breaks.

When you actively direct composition, the pace of the shoot is naturally slower, but it allows us to refine each image collaboratively. To that end we offer wireless tethering to the camera display through phone/tablet so you can see your styling adjustments in real time.

Adjusting furniture, bringing in styling elements, or preparing rooms can take place during the session, but many clients prefer to complete styling and tidying before our arrival to maximize active photography time. Either way works fine, but we’d like you to know up front what to expect.
